THE ROLE Working directly alongside senior colleagues and directors, you'll manage your own projects with a high level of independence and responsibility. You'll be advising clients across a range of sectors on a wide range of building surveying matters, including technical due diligence, defect analysis, contract administration, dilapidations, refurbishment projects, and planned maintenance strategies. This position offers the perfect balance of autonomy, client interaction, and technical challenge - along with the opportunity to mentor junior surveyors and contribute to the strategic growth of the team. Key Responsibilities of the Chartered Building Surveyor:Manage and deliver a broad range of building surveying instructions from inception to completionUndertake condition surveys, building pathology investigations, and defect diagnosticsLead on contract administration for refurbishment, fit out, and repair projectsPrepare technical reports, specifications, schedules of condition, and dilapidation assessmentsProvide expert advice on building regulations, compliance, and construction best practiceConduct pre-acquisition and due diligence surveys for investors and occupiersMentor and guide assistant and graduate surveyors, fostering technical excellence within the teamCollaborate with clients to provide strategic advice and deliver outstanding serviceRequirements:MRICS qualification (Chartered Building Surveyor status essential)Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in a similar consultancy environmentStrong technical knowledge of building pathology, construction, and contract administrationProven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA proactive, professional, and client-focused approachConfidence in managing client relationships and contributing to business developmentA passion for continuous learning and professional growthBenefits for the Chartered Building Surveyor:Join a high-performing, collaborative, and supportive teamExceptional exposure to a wide variety of sectors and project typesClear progression path to Associate or Director levelCommitment to personal development and CPDA culture that celebrates curiosity, innovation, and excellence... and moreIf you would like to find out more about this great opportunity, please contact Georgie Marden.
