You’ll work alongside specialists across public and private family, benefiting from modern offices and collaborative teams.Public Family Solicitor — Position Overview: \tSupport a Tier 1 Public Law Children team on complex care matters\tAttend court and client meetings (office-based in Luton with travel as required)\tManage new enquiries and build relationships with Local Authorities\tHandle proceedings, provide written, telephone and meeting advice, and conduct advocacy (where appropriate)\tMaintain accurate records, manage risk and client expectations, and ensure compliance\tContribute to business development, CPD, and mentoring of junior colleaguesRequirements of the Public Family Solicitor:\t4+ PQE in family law, ideally with care and public law experience\tLaw Society Children Panel member (or ready to apply)\tExperience preparing and managing Legal Aid funding applications\tStrong written and verbal communication and client care skills\tIT literate (case management, Word, Outlook, Excel) with excellent file and time management\tSelf-motivated, collaborative, and target-driven with the ability to meet short deadlines\tValid driving licence\tKnowledge of Lexcel requirements desirable The Benefits for the Public Family Solicitor role:\tCompetitive salary (DOE)\t25 days’ holiday\tAuto-enrolment salary-sacrifice pension\tHealth cash plan, death in service, enhanced sick pay\tCycle-to-work scheme, free eye tests, paid flu vaccinations\tRegular Partner contact, feedback and CPD support\tStaff introduction bonus and discounted legal services\tModern Luton office with charity and networking opportunities
