Job DescriptionPSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Permanent Fire Estimator in London. This will be working for a Tier 1 business with a current £200mil turnover and looking to progress up to £500mil turnover in 5-7 years. They will need someone with passive fire background and will need to be 5 days in the office for the first 1-2 months. Please see more information below.They're seeking an Estimator to join our growing Passive Fire Protection team. This is a key role for someone who brings technical expertise, commercial acumen, and a collaborative mindset to every project.What You'll Be DoingAs Estimator, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates for passive fire protection systems. You'll play a critical role in both pre-construction planning and ongoing commercial strategy.Your responsibilities will include:Reviewing tender documentation and preparing bid/no-bid assessmentsPreparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BoQs), and tender submissionsLiaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal delivery teams to obtain quotations and support cost planningEnsuring all estimates comply with current fire safety regulations and technical standardsIdentifying and managing risks, opportunities, and value-engineering optionsSupporting client engagement and business development initiativesMentoring junior estimators and contributing to the professional development of the teamWhat We're Looking ForYou're a self-motivated, analytical thinker with a strong foundation in estimating and commercial planning - ideally in passive fire protection or a related field.Key skills and experience:Minimum of 3 years' experience in passive fire protection estimating or a closely related fieldSolid understanding of tendering, cost planning, and risk assessmentCompetence with NEC and/or JCT contractsStrong communication and negotiation skillsMeticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple bids under pressureProven ability to manage and develop supplier relationshipsWhat We OfferWe believe in rewarding our people and giving them the tools they need to succeed.
