Job DescriptionSEND Teaching AssistantStart: January 2026 or ASAP End: July 2026 (with potential for a permanent position) Location: Kirkstall, Leeds Salary: From £100 - £115 per dayPK Education are proud to be supporting a vibrant and welcoming 2-form-entry primary school in Leeds in their search for a SEND Teaching Assistant to start ASAP on a full-time, long-term basis. This school has a strong sense of community, a nurturing ethos, and a dedicated team that truly cares about the development of every child.You’ll predominantly be supporting an individual on a 121 basis who has Autism, delayed communication and language skills, and social development needs.Your Role:Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SENDSupport children with communication and interaction difficultiesHelp develop pupils’ social skills and encourage positive relationshipsAssist with personal care where requiredWork closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions such as alternative methods of communication and visual aidsWhat You’ll Need:Previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally Autism, speech & language needs and behaviour that challengesA patient, empathetic and adaptable approachStrong communication skills and a team-first mindsetA DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)Interested?
