Project Manager – Solar PV

About The RoleA leading renewable energy company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK. This is a key role for a highly motivated individual who can ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards—on time, on budget, and with a strong focus on safety and performance.ResponsibilitiesOversee project execution to meet contract specifications across quality, timeline, and budget parameters.Effectively plan and deploy human and material resources to maximize cost-efficiency.Enforce health and safety compliance for all site-based and remote personnel.Lead operational teams in delivering robust, high-quality projects across the UK.Support corporate strategies, particularly related to profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency.Manage contractual performance in line with KPIs and approved budgets.Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure timely, cost-effective project execution.Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and reporting.Recruit, mentor, and manage staff to ensure consistent delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.Proven experience managing utility-scale, ground-mounted Solar PV projects.Familiarity with BESS integration is highly desirable.Hands-on experience reviewing technical documents, budgets, and schedules.HNC qualified with certifications such as SMSTS, CDM, or IOSH.Strong knowledge of health & safety, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.Willingness to travel within the UK and a valid full driving license.
