The client is a very fast-growing renewable energy developer specialising in
commercial rooftop and utility-scale solar PV + battery storage
. They are seeking someone to lead their in-house design function, driving technical quality and compliance as the business continues to scale.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage the design team, oversee external consultants, and ensure projects are delivered with technical accuracy and in line with industry standards. You'll act as the go-to technical authority across the business, supporting project managers and installation teams, while also playing a key part in grid connection applications and client-facing technical discussions.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong background in electrical design for
    solar PV and/or battery projects
  • Knowledge of
    UK grid connection standards (G99/G100)
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Confident using design software such as
    AutoCAD or PV*Sol
