PC Build Engineer

Sharp is seeking a PC Build Engineer to join a small team based at our West Bromwich site.You will configure and deploy PCs and laptops for various clients across our business. The successful candidate will work to tight schedules, defined processes and specified build configurations.We are looking for a locally based, reliable and enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic and relevant experience in building and configuring PCs and laptops.The role is based at our West Bromwich site 5 days a week, usual working hours are 8.30-5.00Key Responsibilities:PC and Laptop Builds: Assemble and configure PCs and laptops based on client specifications, ensuring each build meets exacting standards and performance requirements.Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of hardware and software to guarantee reliability and performance before deployment.Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide tailored solutions that meet their needs.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all builds, including specifications, configurations, and testing results.Inventory Management: Manage and track inventory of components and peripherals to ensure availability and minimize downtime.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues that arise during the build process.Timescales: Work within set timescales and SLAs to ensure timely delivery of builds, without compromising on quality.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements to continually improve build processes and solutions.Knowledge and Experience:Experience in building and configuring PCs and laptops.Knowledge of PC hardware components, operating systems, and software applicationsExperience with Microsoft autopilot and Windows 11 is ideal.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and collaboration.Ability to manage multiple tasks, work within tight schedules and meet deadlines.Proactive approach to staying updated with technology trends.Flexibility to adapt to changing client requirements and project scopes.About Us:Sharp is a leading technology solutions provider, connecting people and technology.We offer Tailored IT Services, Managed Print, Audio Visual and Work Place Design Solutions.At Sharp, we know the technology landscape is far from simple.
