It's a newly created position in a growing group finance function. You'll be joining a business with real scale but an SME feel day to day. Quick decisions. Supportive culture. Proper autonomy.Rather than being tied to a laptop, you'll be out in the business improving processes, building relationships and shaping how group reporting works across multiple UK entities.What you'll be doing• Leading month end close for the UK entities• Producing monthly management accounts and consolidation into group• Reviewing and approving journals, reconciliations and GBS prepared work• Owning cash flow and balance sheet oversight• Strengthening SOX controls and supporting internal and external audits• Handling VAT, PSA, CIS and supporting corporation tax work• Partnering with Controlling, FP and A and Commercial Finance• Taking the lead on complex areas like tax documentation, audit queries and banking• Supporting automation, reporting improvements and wider transformation work• Helping develop a small UK team through coaching and day to day supportWhat they're looking for• Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA• Experience in group or multi entity finance, or a first or second move from practice• Strong with processes, controls and month end discipline• Confident reviewing offshore prepared work• Calm, organised and proactive• Someone who enjoys partnering with people across the business• VAT or wider tax exposure helpful but not essentialWhy it's a great move• £50,000 to £55,000 basic salary• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays plus your birthday off• Hybrid working and very flexible hours• Matched pension• Broad role across reporting, controls, tax, projects and systems• Clear progression towards Finance Director or senior commercial roles• A supportive SLT and an adult, outcome focused cultureThis role is being handled by Henry Clarkson at Distinct Recruitment.
