ROLE PURPOSEThe Operational Human Resources Business Partner embeds professional practices,to support the business in achieving its purpose, delivering its values and meetingoperational and commercial requirements.This is achieved through proactive and professional HR advice, which promotes bestpractise, drives HR strategy, safeguards against litigation, and shapes the culture of thebusiness.Core Responsibilities Champion Oak Furnitureland culture, values and behaviours ensuring that they arereflected and threaded through all ways of working, working practices and relationships. Provide expert consistent HR advice and guidance to managers and colleagues on HRmatters, encouraging continual development on all areas of HR. Partners managers to resolve ER issues through proactive and appropriate casemanagement, that increases competence and commitment (motivation / confidence). Work with line managers and colleagues to develop their confidence and credibilitywhen understanding and applying HR policy and procedure. Take ownership of exploring and embedding HR solutions with stakeholders. Support the employee lifecycle by proactively looking for ways to improve employee andmanager experience. Follow and contribute to shape the formation of internal policy and procedures tocomply with and/or support legislation and/or good employment practices. Support the roll out of HR projects and organisational change programmes supportingdelivery of the HR strategy. Support and enable employee engagement across business areas. Work with the key stakeholders as an effective and collaborative Business Partner tosupport with people plans. Maintain emphasis on own personal development, specifically focusing on HRknowledge (internally/externally), the furniture industry, and Oak Furnitureland'sproducts and services. Ensure working hours are managed effectively to ensure productivity and value-add tothe HR Team and our stakeholders. Attend regular review and team meetings as required.Skills And Experience Shares own knowledge and experience to support other team members aiding personaldevelopment to meet the needs of the business. Able to build open and honest relationships with continual feedback taking place, bydeveloping a culture of trust and support. Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication skills both verbal andwritten. Able to influence stakeholders through understanding their audience, leading byexample and being human to achieve the right outcome for the business. Adopts a growth mindset and continually seeks out personal developmentopportunities to improve own skills. Works well on own initiative and in a team setting to conceive ideas and translate thoseinto actions. Able to demonstrate excellent professional communication both written and verbalincluding proven presentation and facilitation skills. Acts as an advocate of Oak Furnitureland and has an overall passion for the business'brand, values, and vision. Takes accountability for delivering all aspects of the role including managing workload,conflicting priorities, and deadlines. Able to self-motivate to enable maximum productivity whilst working remotely. Able to plan a structured working week to effectively support a remote stakeholdergroup. Data driven to be able to identify key patterns to raise with stakeholders. Can demonstrate experience of working as a credible HR business partner, with theability to influence and guide stakeholders to best HR practise. Have a good UK employment law knowledge and how to apply it.
