Cost Accountant

Location: Keighley, West YorkshireSalary: £60k / Negotiable + (depending on experience)About the Role:We're looking for a highly analytical and hands-on Cost Accountant / Costing Analyst to join a dynamic manufacturing business. This is a key role that ensures the company fully understands the costs behind its products, enabling accurate pricing, quoting, and margin management.You'll be responsible for:Analysing the cost of raw materials, labour, and overheads for hundreds of products.Tracking production output and productivity to ensure costs are accurately reflected.Working closely with production teams to understand manufacturing processes.Evaluating profitability and margin on individual products.Supporting the business with pricing strategies and accurate customer quotes.Preparing reports that provide insight into cost drivers, efficiency, and opportunities for savings.Building out BOMs and costing modelsHands-on experience in manufacturing cost accounting, BOM creation, and pricing for retail.The Ideal Candidate:Strong technical accounting background, ideally with experience in manufacturing or industrial production costing.Excellent Excel and analytical skills.Ability to work closely with production teams and understand the mechanics of manufacturing processes.Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and product pricing.Hands-on, proactive, and able to work across multiple departments to gather accurate data.Why Join:Be part of a growing, hands-on team with a strong focus on operational efficiency.Opportunity to directly impact profitability and business decisions.Work in a role where your insights drive real change.
