Job DescriptionBAM Infrastructure is seeking an experienced and motivated Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our ASTI onshore team, with projects scheduled to run until 2030. As a key member of this team, you will contribute to the delivery of large-scale civil engineering projects that will provide critical infrastructure to support future renewable developments across Scotland.The successful candidate will initially be based in our Inverness office, before moving to a site office near Drumnadrochit (close to Inverness).Your teamA living-away allowance will be provided for working away from home, along with other package benefitsPeople are at the heart of what we do at Bam. We're on an exciting journey to get us there by recruiting the very best talent to join us regardless of race, colour, religion, nationality or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability or other characteristics.Making PossibleAs a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the following:Manage and mentor a commercial team across multiple schemes.Liaise closely with the operations team and support services to ensure alignment and collaboration.Participate in project performance discussions and contribute commercial insight to strategic decision-making.Oversee commercial aspects of multiple projects, ensuring the timely delivery of: Monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs), cash flow monitoring, monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, applications for payment, and effective change management.Ensure compliance with internal commercial processes, procedures, and best practices.Work closely with clients and key stakeholders to identify and deliver optimal commercial solutions.Represent the company in commercial discussions, negotiations, and progress reviews.Ensure adherence to procurement and subcontractor management procedures.Provide input and commercial guidance during the pre-construction/tender phases of projects.Manage Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) projects or a portfolio of ECI projects from a commercial perspective, including review of contract documentation.What do you bring to the role?Necessary:Previous experience of managing a team (ideally across multiple projects)Previous experience on civil engineering schemesExperience of NEC form of ContractThorough understanding of contractual provisions with a view to be able to comment, review and draft documents.Relevant qualification Degree; HNC/DAdvantageous:Early Contractor Involvement experienceExperience of target cost contractsGood client-facing collaborative attitudeGood communication skillsRelevant Professional qualification (CICES/RICS)Whats in it for you?Competitive salaryA wide range of family-friendly policiesCompany car / car allowance / travel allowance8 % matched pension contributionsPrivate healthcareLife assurance26 days holiday2 wellbeing days1 volunteering dayPersonal and professional developmentBAM Infrastructure is also committed to equality of opportunity in all its employment practices, and to developing policies that support work-life balance.About BAMBuilding a sustainable tomorrow.
