We aim to empower people to live as fulfilled lives as possible.As well as stable and secure employment opportunities, we offer great benefits and perks, and plenty of opportunities to develop and progress.About the roleAs a Huntingtons Disease Specialist Nurse with Exemplar Health Care, youll act in a proactive manner to support our homes to provide and our care via a systematic, coordinated and coaching approach.No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:supporting the implementation of new initiatives to improve peoples quality of lifedeveloping effective working practisesestablishing a complete understanding of the needs of the people in our homes who have a HD primary diagnosis i.e., what is their secondary diagnoses, their complex care and risk requirementstailoring colleague training requirements to meet the needs of people in a person-centred way, as well as supporting in the delivery of this trainingdeveloping and embedding a HD Champion role, and support these Champions to link directly with their local HD networksworking with the Operational Team (Clinical Nurse Managers / Registered Nurses and HD Champions) to offer support and coachassisting with the development of quality policies and procedures, audit materials and Service User, Colleague and Relative information materials.building external brand reputation in our ability to care for the people we support with HDAbout youAbove all, youre someone who identifies with our Exemplar Health Care values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success and teamwork.You must also have a first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN.As this is a high level, strategic role, you should have a minimum of two years experience in a specialist nurse role and extensive experience and knowledge of Huntingtons Disease.Youll also have:evidence of further professional development in relation to care, management or qualityability to coach and motivate othersa strong background in action planningexcellent written and verbal communication skillsa pragmatic approach, with strong problem solving and analytical skills, along with the ability to apply these in complex situationsthe ability to work collaboratively with, and travel to all locations across the business.What we offerWe offer great rewards and perks including:£3,000 car allowance27 days annual leave + bank holidaysexcellent supervision, peer support, learning opportunities and career prospectsretail and lifestyle reward discountsfree DBS checkelectric car salary sacrifice schemepaid NMC membershippaid access to the RCNi Learning platform24/7 counselling and supportBlue Light Card eligibility.How to applySound good?
