A Vacancy at Manchester University NHS Foundation TrustWork under the overall supervision of a registered practitioner.Relevant experience is an advantage; training will be provided.You will have the opportunity to join a diverse multidisciplinary team of professionals committed to the high‑quality care of patients living with infectious diseases from Greater Manchester and beyond.Vacancies have arisen within the Specialist Regional Infectious Diseases Unit at North Manchester General Hospital.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate and assist in the delivery of delegated personal care to patients within the ward/department team.Carry out delegated routine procedures requiring a base level of knowledge, understanding, practical competency and skill specific to the personal care of patients.Nurse patients living with infectious diseases including HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis, malaria, typhoid, influenza, COVID‑19, Clostridioides difficile and MRSA.Work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays; be prepared for seven‑day work and longer shifts to support continuity of care.Development & ProgressionOn joining, you will be supported to develop your knowledge and skills through the Support Worker Development Programme for Nursing Assistants, which includes completion of the Care Certificate for those who have not yet completed it.
