Based at our Kilmarnock Depot – located at MacKinlay Place, KilmarnockAnnual salary - £55,000Shift pattern of day shift, 38 hours per weekLooking to lead a skilled engineering team and shape the future of fleet maintenance?We're looking for an experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our talented team at Stagecoach Kilmarnock. This is your opportunity to manage a modern and diverse fleet, a purpose-built paint shop, and vital depot facilities, while developing your people, improving performance, and making a real difference to how our services run every day.What you'll be doing:Leading a team of engineers, technicians, cleaners, and apprentices to ensure our fleet is safe, clean, and road-readyManaging the maintenance and presentation of 84 service buses and 3 training vehiclesOverseeing depot plant and building maintenance, including compliance and health & safetyManaging day-to-day operations, resource planning, stock control, and procurementCoaching and developing team members, with a focus on continuous improvement and succession planningWorking closely with the Engineering Director and gaining exposure to regional projects and strategic developmentMaintaining standards in line with DVSA regulations and Stagecoach's standardsWhat we're looking for:Engineering experience in a relevant sector such as bus, coach, HGV, rail, plant, or automotiveStrong leadership and team management skills, you may already be in a managerial role, or ready for your next stepA proactive, organised, and safety-first mindsetExperience managing compliance, budgets, inventory, and health & safety practicesPassion for high standards in both vehicle performance and presentationWhy join Stagecoach?Full training provided, including health & safety, equipment use and cleaning standardsCompetitive hourly rates and opportunities for overtimeBenefits including generous pension scheme, 33 days holiday, free travel for you and a companion, and a wide range of discounts including retail & leisureCareer progression, many of our colleagues have grown into engineering, driving, and management rolesA supportive, inclusive working environment where your wellbeing mattersOur working environmentStagecoach is proud to be an inclusive employer.
