Job Descriptiongap personnel is recruiting on behalf of our client for a hands-on technical role based in Hounslow.We are currently seeking a practical, self-sufficient individual to take on the role of Equipment Repair & Collection Technician for our client — a well-established provider of essential services within a busy travel environment. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys working independently and takes pride in maintaining equipment to a high standard.Key duties will include:Restoring damaged transport and mobility equipment to full working orderPerforming basic technical checks and minor mechanical fixesCollecting faulty units from specified locations across the siteDocumenting repair activities and managing tools and spare partsEnsuring all tasks are carried out in line with health and safety proceduresLiaising occasionally with visiting engineers and on-site teamsThis is a solo-based role working primarily within the on-site workshop. Applicants must be confident working independently and managing their own workload.Requirements:Previous experience in repair, mechanical, or maintenance roles is desirableHands-on ability with basic tools and a practical mindsetStrong self-motivation and organisational skillsPhysically able to handle and move equipmentFull UK driving licence (Category B) is essentialWillingness to work without close supervisionWorking hours & benefits:40 hours per week, Monday to FridayFlexible daily start time between 6:00 AM and 1:00 PMOvertime availableHourly pay: £15.31Free onsite parking28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)Access to a holiday purchase schemeAfter probation: access to a staff benefits platform offering discounts on groceries, electronics, entertainment, and moreFull training providedAbout the role:Our client operates in a critical service area where reliability and responsiveness are key.
