We work collaboratively across 10 countries to collect, connect and understand complex data, so that governments, nation states, armed forces and commercial businesses can unlock digital advantage in the most demanding environments.Job Title: CNC MillerRequisition ID: 122515Location: Great BaddowGrade: GG06 – GG07Referral Bonus: £1,000We currently have a vacancy for an experienced CNC miller to work at our site in Great Baddow, Chelmsford.The successful candidate will work as part of a small team manufacturing prototype and small batch components.ResponsibilitiesYour main responsibilities as a CNC Miller will involve:Manufacture of small batch / prototype and production components ranging from highly accurate aerospace components through to lab use demonstrator items.The successful applicant will need to be able to program, set and run 3 axis CNC milling machines using CADCAM software and also via the machine control.Also required is the ability to operate manual milling machines and lathes.The successful applicant will need to be able to work on their own initiative and demonstrate a flexible working attitude as part of this interesting role.EssentialYour skills and qualifications as a CNC miller:Experienced CNC milling machinistAble to program, set and operate different machine tools, as well as operate manual milling machines and lathesQualified to NVQ Level 3 Engineering (or equivalent) or higherApprentice trainedDesirable3D CADCAM programming experienceWhat We're Looking For In YouYou will have strong problem-solving skills.Why BAE Systems?This is a place where you’ll be able to make a real difference.
