CNC Miller Setter / Operator

A growing precision engineering environment is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Operator to support increasing production demands. This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running, contribute to a busy machining department, and work effectively as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality, precision components.
  • Work across 3, 4, and 5-axis machinery to meet production targets.
  • Ensure components meet engineering drawings and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to maintain smooth workflow and resolve technical challenges.
  • Support continuous improvement and contribute to overall machine shop efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience with Heidenhain or Fanuc controls.
  • Strong understanding of 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machining.
  • Background or exposure to aerospace engineering.
  • Familiarity with machines such as Bridgeport, DMG, YCM, or Hedelius (advantageous).
  • Positive team approach with clear and effective communication skills.
  • Basic programming knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
