They will act as the bridge between finance, commercial and operational teams, providing insightful analysis, financial guidance, and performance support to help shape business outcomes. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a responsibility to influence senior stakeholders.The Role at a GlanceLocation: Slough Trading Estate, Slough, SL1 4AY (some travel required)Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per weekSalary: Up to £80,000What You’ll Be DoingLead budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking for regulated and commercial activitiesAnalyze cost drivers, asset performance, and service delivery metrics to identify efficiency opportunitiesDevelop financial models for capital investment, asset lifecycle planning, and regulatory submissionsSupport pricing strategies and contract negotiations with commercial clientsMonitor regulatory compliance impacts on financial performance and advise on mitigation strategiesDeliver clear, actionable insights to non-finance stakeholders through dashboards and presentationsContribute to sustainability and innovation initiatives by evaluating financial viability and ROIWhat We’re Looking ForDemonstrated experience in commercial finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and business partnering, ideally within utilities, infrastructure, or environmental servicesStrong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the water and waste industry (e.g., Ofwat, Environment Agency) and their financial implicationsAdvanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex data and drive strategic insightsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teamsProficiency in financial systems and tools, including Microsoft Excel; experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is advantageousProfessional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experienceA proactive mindset with a commitment to sustainability, operational excellence, and continuous improvementWhat You’ll Get in ReturnWe believe in looking after our people.
