Job DescriptionMy client is a leading recycling company based in Tilbury, Essex. They are now recruiting 2 x multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to join their team at their site. The successful Maintenance Engineers will work as part of a team responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks to the plant and equipment ensuring optimum performance and availability.Please note during the training period you will work day shift and after training is completed, you will switch onto a Panama shift pattern and there will be an increase in salary to include £7,600 shift allowance.Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:Ensure all planned preventative maintenance is carried out and documented as per company requirements using the CMMS.Respond to plant breakdowns ensuring the plant is returned to production in a timely manner, any temporary fixes are followed up with a permanent solution and equipment is always left in safe working order.Adhere to all safety related documentation for all maintenance activities.Complete stock reviews and feedback on any items taken from the stores for reorder as required.Provide effective communication with team members to ensure work is completed efficiently and proactively.Participate in an on-call rota 1 in every 4 weeks.Maintenance Engineer Requirements:Must hold a relevant electrical or mechanical engineering qualification to Level 3 as a minimum.Must have both mechanical and electrical experience although single bias will be considered with a view to providing additional training and gaining further qualifications.Good problem solving skills.Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.Able to participate in the on call rota.Maintenance Engineer Benefits:Basic annual salary starts at £41,400.On call allowance - £3,003 per year.Monday to Friday 6am 2pm 40 hours per week.Overtime available.25 days holiday + bank holidays.Company pension scheme.Free tea/coffee.Employee assistance programme.Company discretionary bonus.Opportunity to undergo further training and gain additional qualifications.NOTE Our client encourages applications from candidates from commercial and ex-military backgrounds, Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force with electrical and mechanical engineering skills.JBRP1_UKTJ
