Job DescriptionAre you an experienced estimator looking to take the next step in your career? Nicholas Associates are working with reputable, long-serving groundworks contractor who are looking for a Senior Estimator to strengthen the commercial team and help driving success across large-scale developments.The RoleAs Senior Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in the pre-construction process, leading the pricing and tendering for commercial groundwork packages ranging from £1m to £20m+. You will collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers to develop accurate and competitive bids.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and lead detailed cost estimates for groundworks and civil engineering projectsAnalyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive tendersWork closely with the commercial, technical, and operational teamsAttend pre- and post-tender meetings with clients and internal stakeholdersIdentify risk and opportunity in tender submissionsAbout YouProven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in commercial groundworks or civil engineeringStrong technical understanding of groundworks, drainage, foundations, roads, and external worksExcellent numeracy, attention to detail, and commercial awarenessProficient with estimating software and Microsoft ExcelConfident communicator, capable of leading tender presentations and negotiationsWhat's on OfferA respected position within a long-established, financially secure companyOpportunities to work on flagship UK projectsSupportive team environment with long-term career progressionCompetitive salary, car allowance, pension scheme, and bonus Apply now with your CV and cover letter, or contact John Ashcroft at (phone number removed) for a confidential discussion.About UsWe are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
