Job DescriptionJob Title: Interim Management AccountantContract: 3 MonthsLocation: StroudOrganisation Type: Not-for-ProfitStart Date: ImmediateAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a respected not-for-profit organisation on a 3-month interim basis. This role is critical in supporting the finance team with accurate reporting, budgeting, and analysis during a busy period Responsibilities\tPrepare and deliver monthly management accounts and financial reports.\tSupport budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.\tProvide variance analysis and insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.\tAssist with year-end preparation and liaise with auditors as required.\tEnsure compliance with public sector financial regulations and organisational policies.\tContribute to process improvements within the finance function.Skills & Experience Required\tQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.\tProven experience as a Management Accountant within the public sector or a not-for-profit organisation.\tStrong knowledge of public sector accounting standards and reporting requirements.\tAdvanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.\tExcellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.Contract Details\tDuration: 3 months\tHours: Full-time\tRate: Competitive, dependent on experience\tLocation: Stroud - Hybrid working availableIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
