As an Management Accountant you will be given the opportunity to create, learn and innovate. What that means on a day to day basis is interacting with various departments across the company to ensure all processes are understood and supported.

**Client Details**

The client is based in Yate and is part of the UK key infrastructure. The products they manufacture are essential to keep the FMCG sector free flowing.

**Description**

As a Management Accountant you would be involved in:

- Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting.
- Create and post month end journals as required to ensure the monthly accounts reflect a true and fair position.
- Complete Balance Sheet reconciliations each month in line with the reporting deadlines.
- Maintenance of company fixed asset register, including preparation of all depreciation and disposal journals.
- Maintain summary analysis of all CAPEX requests, including authorisation progress and spend against approved amounts.
- Monitor and post appropriate accruals for the authorised spend on non-capital expenditure (DAED).
- Preparation of product and customer margin reports and interpretation of results for stakeholders.
- Maintain weekly cashflow forecasts, check daily cash and upload bank payments for approval.
- Maintain accurate record keeping of the stock system to ensure correct records and complete monthly revaluations.
- Arrange periodic stock-take processes and oversee effective completion and reconciliation, including with auditors.
- Provide information to Financial Controller and Finance Director to assist with productivity and profitability analysis.
- Proactively analyse operational costs to ensure company resources are being used in the most productive manner.
- Chair monthly overhead review meetings with site managers to ensure awareness, ownership and challenge the cost base.
- Prepare and submit VAT Return, National Statistics and any other regulatory returns.
- Deal directly with auditors for queries and 'prepared by client' information collation.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in daily duties.
- Produce ad-hoc analysis and project work as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Deputise for the Financial Controller.
- Holiday cover for other members of the finance department.

**Profile**
- Experience of management and financial accounting and reporting
- Experience of working in a busy environment, providing accounting/reporting services to tight deadlines
- Worked independently to prepare monthly reports and analysis
- Competent using ERP systems such as Oracle/SAP

**Job Offer**
