Job DescriptionOur client, an esteemed organisation in the water sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join their team on a contract basis in Manchester and Warrington, North West. This role involves managing both non-infrastructure and some infrastructure projects, with a hybrid work model available.Key Responsibilities:Overseeing the design processes for water sector projectsManaging design teams and ensuring deliverables meet quality standardsCoordinating with project managers and stakeholders to align design objectivesReviewing and approving design documentation and specificationsEnsuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standardsManaging design changes and updates throughout the project lifecycleProviding technical guidance and expertise to design teamsEnsuring project timelines are adhered to and budget constraints are maintainedJob Requirements:Significant experience in civil design management within the water sectorProven track record of managing design for both non-infrastructure and infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulationsExcellent leadership and team management skillsProficiency in design software and toolsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to work effectively in a hybrid work environmentRelevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualificationBenefits:Competitive daily rateHybrid work modelOpportunity to work on significant projects within the water sectorLong-term contract of two yearsSupportive and collaborative work environmentIf you are an experienced Design Manager with expertise in the civil sector and ready to take on a new challenge in the water industry, we would love to hear from you.
