Job DescriptionAn established manufacturing group is seeking a Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing accountant to work closely with operational and finance teams across multiple locations, playing a key role in enhancing financial controls, operational performance, and reporting quality.This is a broad, hands-on position ideal for a manufacturing accountant with strong experience in costing, inventory management, budgeting, and financial controls. As part of the leadership team, you'll collaborate regularly with operational managers and act as a strategic finance partner.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee accounting processes, internal reporting, and month end accuracy, working closely with group finance and supply chain teamsAct as finance partner to the operational managers and teams, monitoring risks and providing clear financial analysisMaintain accurate costing and inventory data, overseeing inventory controls and cycle countsSupport capital planning, fixed asset management, and UK transactional finance activitiesSupport budgeting and forecasting cycles and prepare internal financial and operational statementsReview job orders, monthly results, variances, and trends, highlighting insights and recommending practical actionsWhat We're Looking ForManufacturing sector experienceStrong background in product costing, cost maintenance, and inventory controlsExperience with ERP systems and consolidation toolsAdvanced Excel skillsWhat's on OfferSalary to £55,000Excellent holiday, enhanced pension, bonus scheme, flexible workingIPS Finance has 45 years experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
