Job DescriptionSENIOR ESTIMATOR | NORTH WEST | £60K - £80KRenewable Energy Solutions in, Social Housing, Domestic Construction & RetrofitABOUT THE ROLEWe're looking for a skilled Senior Estimator with experience in the social housing, domestic construction or retrofit sectors to join a growing team focused on delivering large-scale energy-saving improvements. This position will play a crucial role in supporting bids, preparing accurate costings, and ensuring that projects are delivered profitably.We're a UK-based organisation specialising in low-carbon and renewable home improvement solutions. Working with local authorities, social landlords, and private homeowners, we deliver funded retrofit upgrades that reduce carbon emissions and help tackle fuel poverty. You'll be part of a collaborative commercial team working on projects funded through government-backed home upgrade schemes. These projects include heating system upgrades, insulation, renewable technology installations, and full house retrofit programmes.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce accurate costings for a wide range of low-carbon and retrofit projects.Source and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.Analyse technical drawings, specifications, and data to identify the costs of labour and materials.Ensure all costings are compliant with scheme rules, internal policies, and profitability targets.Produce and develop documents and pricing schedules.Support the bid team with the preparation of tenders.Work with internal and external delivery teams to review actual project costs against estimates and identify improvements.Contribute to improving estimating systems and templates.ABOUT YOUPrevious experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in domestic construction, low-carbon retrofit, or social housingUnderstanding of insulation, heating, solar PV, heat pumps, and renewable technologies is desirableFamiliarity with ECO4, Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS), and other government backed schemes would be an advantageStrong analytical and numerical ability.Confident interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical information.Well-organised and attention to detailWHY JOINCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and career progression with continuous training and development.A supportive, team-oriented environment.A chance to contribute to projects that make homes warmer, greener, and more affordable.JBRP1_UKTJ
