As one of the largest teams in the industry, our continued investment and desire to grow means that we seek a capital allowances specialist.Our team works with clients from owner managed businesses, to large multinational organisations, and we are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our National team (covering all sectors and business types) with a strong financial, accounting and tax background.Role and Responsibilities:Work collaboratively with engagement teams both locally and nationally to assist with developing claim methodologies and preparing capital allowances claims, elections, technical transaction advice to support claims and provision of technical documentation to HMRC.Keeping documentation up to date.Sharing knowledge.Preparing capital allowance claims for submission to HM Revenue & Customs including delegating and working with others to achieve delivery of claims and advisory work.Work with local stakeholders and peers to establish a strong network of referrals and business development opportunities.Proactively manage business development opportunities and assisting in the preparation of proposals.Assisting in the preparation of technical queries from other parts of the firm.Skills and Qualifications:Tax/Accounting/Surveying qualification or working towards.Strong academic background.Work experience in the construction or property tax industry.Good level of awareness of property matters including cost estimating.Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work.Shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work.Continuously learns from experiences.Works in a cooperative, respectful manner with colleagues, clients and the wider community.Ability to build relationships and networks.Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates information.Our Locations:We are open to talk to talent across the country but our core hubs for this role are:London Canary WharfBirminghamWith 20 sites across the UK, we can potentially facilitate office work, working from home, flexible hours, and part-time options.
