Job DescriptionOur client, a long-established contractor specialising in mechanical, electrical, and interior fit-out solutions, is seeking an experienced Interiors/Fit-Out Estimator to join their growing team based near Heathrow Airport. This is a key commercial role supporting the delivery of fast-paced, high-spec projects across the aviation and commercial sectors, with typical contract values ranging from £20k up to £700k.The Opportunity:This role is ideal for a detail-driven Estimator who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for preparing competitive tenders, cost plans, and quotations for interior refurbishment and fit-out works. Working closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams, you will assess client requirements, analyse drawings and specifications, and secure best-value pricing from suppliers and subcontractors. Accuracy, commercial awareness, and strong communication skills are essential, as many projects are undertaken within live and secure environments.Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed estimates and cost tenders for interior refurbishment and fit-out projectsReview drawings, specifications, and client documentation to build accurate cost plansObtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotationsProduce bill of quantities, take-offs, and materials schedulesCoordinate with internal project teams to ensure seamless handover into deliveryAssist with value engineering options and alternative solutions where appropriateKeep accurate records, pricing files, and tender enquiriesSupport commercial reporting and handover meetings post-awardIdeal Background:Proven experience in estimating for interior fit-out projects (Cat A & B desirable)Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials, ideally from a trades or site-based backgroundAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel essential) no specialist estimating software requiredCommercially aware, with strong numeracy and analytical skillsExcellent organisation and communication, with a proactive approachAdditional Information:Working hours: 07:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)Office-based role (Windsor & Maidenhead Borough location)Own vehicle required; must live within approx. 90 minutes travel of the officeThis role does not offer hybrid or remote workingCompliance Requirements:Due to the nature of projects within secured airside environments, the following checks are mandatory:Five years of referencing history (employment, self-employment, education etc.)Ability to pass a Criminal Record CheckAll relevant site and security training will be provided as requiredJBRP1_UKTJ
