Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join a dedicated and caring team supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties who have experienced trauma and adversity in a residential care setting. As a Support Worker, you will help create a safe, structured and nurturing environment where children can begin to thrive.Key Responsibilities: * Provide direct care and supervision to children with challenging behaviour and complex needs. * Develop and maintain positive relationships with the children, fostering a sense of trust and security. * Implement and follow individualised care plans, ensuring the needs of each child are met. * Manage and respond to challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies and interventions. * Support children in their educational, social, and recreational activities. * Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements. * Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. * Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and families to ensure a holistic approach to care.Requirements: * Experience as a Support Worker or in a similar setting is preferred. * Understanding of trauma-informed care and child development * Strong communication skills and emotional resilience * Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins * Full UK Driving Licence is essential.Benefits include: * Comprehensive training and development * Regular well-being support * Free meals, parking, and health-related benefits * £50 per sleep-in and generous overtime opportunitiesThis Support Worker role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and full safeguarding procedures.Sound good?
