Job DescriptionKennet Solutions are supporting a Civil-Engineering subcontractor in their search for a Civils Sub/Site Agent across the Thames Valley region. This candidate will be working on Civil-Engineering projects within the Water industry, supporting a Project Manager and helping to drive the performance of the site teams.Responsibilities will include:Set personal example in health, safety and environmental matters by ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures through method statements, risk assessments and briefingsManage, supervise and mentor engineering resource to ensure compliance with the contract drawings, specification and ensuring effective implementation of all engineering controlsCommunicate with commercial staff to ensure all records for payment purposes are prepared and reviewed promptlyEnsuring variations and additional works are recorded thoroughly and throughoutSupport the Project Manager with controlling costs, forecasting value and the production of programmesIdentify and advise project team on potential commercial or contractual risksAssist with material take-offs and to procure necessary materials, sub-contracts and plant in sufficient timeWork with the Site Supervisor to ensure effective work planning and resource allocationEnsure successful project completion, production of internal documentation and hand-over to clientRequired Experience:Previous experience at Site/Section Engineer or in similar role presentlyDegree or HND in Civil EngineeringCSCS Managers/Supervisors cardSMSTS (or equivalent)Strong civil engineering background with solid knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental proceduresGood understanding of commercial and contractual aspects
