- With the continued expansion of our National Accounts business, we are looking to strengthen our team and model, to appoint a Design and Build MEP Estimator, with transferrable skills to support and grow our current projects model.
- We are looking for someone with an Estimating track record in Building Services Engineering, in generating and winning Design and Build tenders / opportunities, with little client information.

This is a new role within the business Unit, so you will be working closely with the Head of Projects, being influential in the development of an efficient model and collaborative ways of working, with the wider Projects Team.

Must have a track record of working on CAT A, CAT B Fitout, Capital Plant Replacement projects, Infrastructure upgrades and Energy Projects.

Job Purpose:

- The purpose of the role is to;
- Drive pace behind project opportunities.
- Unlock competitive tender opportunities.
- General Activities:

- Work with Project Mangers to develop scope and tender strategy.
- Material take-offs, pipework, traywork etc.
- Develop and issue supplier invitations to tender.
- Build a multi discipline tender.
- Managing all tendering process activities, based on the information/technical scope from the client.
- Overall responsibility for the preparation of tenders and presentations for Senior Management sign-off.
- Site surveys to understand preambles, conditions/restrictions, to be considered during the tendering process.
- Identification of potential risks.
- Meetings with consultancies, clients, and subcontractors regarding the detailed knowledge of the installation.
- Clarifications and tender queries follow-up.
- Performing the programme and schedule of works, based on start and completion dates from the client.
- Providing detailed handover information for in-house / external organisations.
- Develop and understand the full scope of works in line with the desired project business case and in turn outcome. This is to be within agreed budget requirements and required profit margins.
- Manage, run, and draw up tenders on behalf of the customer as required. Carry out full tender analysis of all sub-contractor returns.
- Work within the CDM regulations, in taking on the role of principle contractor.
- Identify, reduce, and manage all statutory and commercial risks, associated with the project they are leading.
- Work closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
- Concept Design and feasibility:

- Review a very limited clients brief and develop a concept design.
- Perform rule of thumb design calculations to get the capacity and sizes for equipment and materials to send them to the specialist quotation.
- Take a space plan layout drawing and identified services needed.
- Develop and submit budgets for client CAPEX planning.
- Produce PCSA (Pre
- Construction Service Agreement) fee proposals.
- Building Relationships:

- Build strong effective working relationships with our customers and Project Managers.
- Build a pipeline of supply partners with the correct approvals in connection with the central procurement team.
- Commercial Awareness:

- Ensure that all financial objectives are met.
- Research and understand current market rates.
- Ensure the projects are commercially viable and satisfy the commercial terms of the contract.
- Ensure all projects are managed through company policies and procedures in relation to commercial activities.
