**About the Role**

We are currently seeking a team of dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants for one of our premium clients. This role involves providing specialized care for a young client who is mute, uses a wheelchair, has Down syndrome, and is blind. Our goal is to assemble experienced and energetic carers who can significantly impact his life and well-being.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Provide Personalized Care**: Offer tailored support to an adult with Down syndrome, who also has a dislocated hip and partial visual impairment.
- **Oversee Caregiver Operations**: Coordinate caregiver schedules, deliver training, and monitor their performance to ensure consistent and high-quality care.
- **Collaborate on Care Plans**: Work with healthcare professionals and family members to create comprehensive care strategies.
- **Plan and Assist with Meals**: Design individualized meal plans based on specific dietary needs and assist during mealtimes.
- **Administer Medications**: Manage the administration of prescribed medications and medical procedures, keeping detailed records.
- **Coordinate Healthcare Services**: Arrange medical appointments, therapies, and other healthcare services, advocating for the individual's preferences and needs.
- **Monitor Health and Well-being**: Conduct regular assessments to track health status, mobility, and overall well-being, adjusting care plans as needed.
- **Ensure Safety**: Develop and implement emergency protocols and risk management strategies to maintain safety and welfare.
- **Stay Informed**: Keep up-to-date with the latest caregiving methods, regulations, and industry standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Applicants must be based in the UK and hold a valid work visa to be eligible.
- Demonstrated proficiency in caregiving for a minimum of three years, with specialized experience in caring for individuals with Down syndrome.
- Preferably holds certifications in UK Care Standards and other relevant caregiving qualifications.
- Proven track record in coordinating and supervising caregivers to ensure the delivery of effective care.
- Expertise in devising and executing customized care plans, encompassing dietary necessities, medication administration, and medical coordination.
- Possesses empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges encountered by individuals with disabilities.
- Exceptional communication abilities for effective interaction with individuals, healthcare providers, and family members.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.50-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 60 per week
