We are looking for an experienced Finance Administration Assistant support our Group Financial Controller here at Metrorod Support Centre.
Franchise Brands is an international, multi-brand franchisor focused on building market-leading businesses primarily via a franchise model. The Group currently has a combined network of over 625 franchisees across seven brands in the UK, North America and Europe.
We own several market-leading brands with established trading histories: Metro Rod, Metro Plumb, Willow Pumps, Filta, and more recently, Pirtek in Europe - all of which benefit from the Group’s central support services, in particular; Franchise Support, National Sales / Account Management, Information Technology, Marketing, Finance, Recruitment and HR.
**What does it entail?**
You will be assisting the Group Financial Controller with day-to-day ad-hoc finance and administration duties. The role is administration focused however, in addition to generic office administration duties you will also be required to assist with all aspects of accounts payable, collate information for external auditors, and enter data into our internal finance system.
The role would lend itself well to someone who has worked within a finance team previously. As the role involves some proof reading, we are also looking for someone with a strong attention to detail, and to be able to highlight numerical, spelling and grammatical errors.
The role will be predominantly working autonomously within our busy Support Centre, so experience working with mínimal supervision is essential.
**What do we look for?**
- Previous experience within a similar role essential
- Experience using Sage or similar financial system is a huge advantage
- Self-motivated
- Positive and inquisitive manner
- An aptitude for IT - knowledge of software packages like Excel and ideally financial systems
- Ability to work accurately on an independent basis
- Great attention to detail
- Experience of dealing with high volumes of work
- Time management skills
