Factory Quality Auditor

**JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITY**:
Come and join Alfred G Pearce Ltd, we are a third generation family run local business looking to recruit an experienced Quality Auditor to join our factory.
This is a critical role within which you will be part of a team who is responsible for the quality, food safety and aesthetics of our products. Ensuring the production team adhere to set industry standards. Ensuring a 'right-first-time' approach is consistently achieved.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Ensure critical control points are monitored and programmed correctly.
- Monitor product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process - challenging any concerns observed.
- Fully assess all products during production against customer specifications and ensure any issues are addressed and communicated to production managers in a timely manner.
- Ensure all incoming raw materials deliveries are assessed against a pre-determined raw material specification and ensure any issues are communicated to the relevant departments in order to support the decision making process.
- Maintain accurate records of all raw materials entering site in real time
- Ensure any non-conforming product is placed on hold or rejected and is quarantined, and identified so it is not used.
- Assess shelf-life samples, ensuring any issues are communicated to relevant departments.
- Perform checks on machinery hygiene & allergen testing including swabbing against a pre-determined schedule.
- Audit production paperwork to ensure completion and compliance, and report any missing or incomplete paperwork.
- Audit compliance against Business Management Systems, GMP and HACCP controls raising all non-conformances against relevant standards with objective evidence, effectively communicated to enable the operational team to take the appropriate actions.
You will need to be able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines, be able to communicate clearly, have a strong attention to detail and be confident to challenge. You will be motivated and keen to help educate and encourage the factory teams to get it right first time, avoiding unnecessary wastage, down time and customer queries.
This is a full time day shift role.
Due to the location of the factory (Wormegay, PE33 0SG) you will need your own transport.

Pay: £12.10 per hour
