Our client is a local manufacturing company that is expanding and performing strongly.

The Production Operator will work as part of a small but specialist team running semi-automated equipment. This job requires stamina and a good level of physical fitness as it involves operating machinery and requires the lifting and moving of both raw and finished materials for production and shipping.

**Responsibilities**:

- Daily running of machines and production equipment
- Receiving partially finished products from other areas, and raw materials from external suppliers
- Performing simple filling & feed duties to semi-automated machines
- Overseeing the control and adjustment functions and settings of machines (e.g. speed, temperatures etc.)
- Inspect finished products with precision and measuring tools to ensure they meet strict quality standards
- Maintain accurate quality and production records ensuring all orders meet required specifications
- Performing relevant incoming good checks and stock management duties
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained
- Demonstrate excellent team working, prepared to help others and perform ad-hoc tasks around the factory and packing area
- Adhere to strict H&S regulations and procedures
- Experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Teamwork and good communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
- A pro-active, problem solving attitude and willingness to learn and developing new skills

**Rewards & Working hours**:

- Basic salary £9 - £10 per hour
- 28 days annual holiday (including Bank Holidays)

Working week is Monday to Friday 40hrs a week - 8am - 4.30pm
