A new and exciting position has arisen within Computershare’s Finance function for a Global Head of Transactional Accounting.
As the leader of the transactional accounting function, you will deliver services to the global business utilising retained and third-party resources across multiple geographies.
As global process owner you will provide governance of the end-to-end month end close and acquire to retire processes across retained and third-party resources ensuring the right resources, capabilities, and measures of performance are in place, to improve efficiency and optimise business performance.

In this pivotal role for our business, you will primarily be responsible for the following:
- Lead, develop and motivate the accounting team and be responsible for their personal development and performance
- Oversee and lead core Operations in the Accounting area
- Manage the relationship at Senior Management Level for escalations and improvements
- Define the strategy, service delivery standards, and SLAs for Accounting team
- Ensure delivery of Accounting services, including, asset and transaction reporting, period close, decision support and overall process management
- Provide guidance for notes disclosures and regulatory tax disclosures
- Manage, administer, and direct the accounting close, review and sign-off the attestation provided by the outsourced team
- Review and approve material accounting transactions, account reconciliation breaks and ensure plans are in place to resolve any issues on a timely basis
- Contribute to the definition, analysis, and improved design of accounting & fixed asset management processes on an ongoing basis
- Support on developing, maintaining, and assessing internal controls related to accounting, asset management and financial reporting systems
- Responsible for driving and leading the change roadmap for the Fixed asset management area
- Adhere to all risk, control, and governance frameworks, and ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory/legal (e.g., compliance with internal control procedures and reporting requirements).
**What will you bring to the role?**
To excel in this role, it is expected that you will possess much of the following experience:
- Qualified financial accountant - ACA/ACCA or local equivalent
- Substantial experience in managing an Accounting function in a global organisation with experience of managing shared services
- Expert understanding of emerging finance and technology trends across the globe and competitor positioning
- Track record of leading, developing and motivating a functional team in line with the group values and standards
- Experienced in leading global teams of up to 50 FTE
- An ability to forge excellent working relationships with senior leaders across the business and finance
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills to achieve outcomes at the highest level of the organisation
- Track record of working effectively with shared service partners and internal stakeholders
- Experience in setting vision, objectives and driving performance
- Experienced in leading, developing and motivating a functional team
- Experienced at leading teams through change
- Experienced in leading a team which is geographically dispersed
- Experienced in leading teams that include 3rd party service providers
- Experienced in shaping and delivering Accounts Payable strategy and policies
