Shell Energy has significant growth ambitions over the coming years. In order to meet our company’s growth and decarbonisation targets, we are embarking on a major foundational programme of work to modernise our **Energy Trading Risk Management System** (ETRM) platform.

This multi-year programme will initially involve the replacement of old, legacy ETRM systems in Europe and North America. Our intent is to implement new cloud hosted (Azure) **Endur **systems, utilising the latest in stream data technologies and system integration and connectivity methodologies. At the same time, we need to support our growing Asian and Australian gas and power businesses and our world leading LNG trading businesses by sustaining and enhancing our current version 19 Endur system.

We are looking for ETRM specialists seeking a significant challenge and an opportunity to grow their careers as part of a team intent on pushing the boundaries of ETRM systems. **The Role**

As a Lead Endur Business Analyst you will be aligned to a specific commodity (Power, Gas or Environmental Products) and/or a specific functional area (for example, Front, Middle or Back-Office).

Joining at the start of this ambitious programme you would work with business and IT stakeholders to define the scope and shape of the to-be solution. You would lead the identification and documentation of business requirements, working with technical teams to determine feasible solution options. You will then lead the business analysis activities for your workstream through to delivery.

Your role will vary depending on the specific area of expertise, however typically you would perform the following day to day activities:

- Planning, delivery, and assurance of your workstreams business analysis deliverables
- Driving and managing scope and design for a workstream, including assessing the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options
- Point of escalation for issues within your workstream
- Coaching and mentoring of the wider business analysis team
- Generating innovative approaches to existing problems or new opportunities
- Stakeholder management - building relationships with key stakeholders, keeping them informed and managing expectations

**What you will bring**

Business Analysis / Project Delivery Experience
- Track record of end-to-end project lifecycle delivery
- Experience in shaping processes and solutions, including capturing business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements
- Strong leadership, sound analytical skills and change management capabilities,
- Demonstratable stakeholder management skills, working with stakeholders at different levels in the organization and confidant providing legitimate challenge
- Experience performing a quality assurance role on workstream deliverables
- Experience working in Agile project delivery

Energy Trading Experience
- Experience of energy trading markets, with a strong understanding of one of the following markets considered an advantage:

- European Power, European Gas and/or Environmental products
- A working knowledge of different trading instruments, including:

- OTC transactions - Including forwards, swaps, and simple options
- Exchange traded futures & options lifecycle including cascading
- Detailed knowledge of at least one of the following functional areas:

- Trade capture - complex deal modelling and pricing
- Market Risk
- Risk Valuation
- Back-Office processes
- Accounting processes
- Migrating between ETRM systems
- As a Lead BA you’ll have SME knowledge of either one the commodities or one of the functional areas detailed above to allow you to lead the workstream

ETRM/CTRM experience
- Endur skills are considered an advantage, however this is not essential as this programme will provide a fantastic opportunity to build or grow skills in this area
