We are currently recruiting a people centric and results driven **Finance Associate **to join our Corporate Finance team in Ashford, Kent.

OurFinance colleagues are a central hub of knowledge, and as a **Finance Associate**, you’ll ensure that your team are on hand to support the corporate division in every way possible. Supporting across the core finance duties including data manipulation,analysis, balance sheet reconciliation and forecasting.

You’ll be instrumental in rolling out and embedding tactical plans in line with our ambitious growth strategy and you’ll bring functional expertise to ensure that we deliver through creating an inclusive team working environment.Expect to own the prioritisationof work to provide support across the Commercial Finance team, including preparation and reconciliation of monthly financial reports in an accurate and timely manner to meet month end deadlines.

This role is offering flexible hybrid working with weekly visits into the Ashford, Kent office for team collaboration and meetings, so you must be with in a commutable distance.

**Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Head of Finance to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.
- To investigate and answer routine queries arising from Budget Holders, Management and other finance staff as well as customers and suppliers
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Support the production of the annual budget, quarterly, monthly and weekly forecasts
- Assist in the preparation and review of P&L and balance sheet reports
- Assist with the audit preparation work to allow for timely completion of the annual financial statements and corporation tax returns
- To develop and maintain a good knowledge of Brakes’ processes and procedures.
- To analyse basic financial information in response to queries from managers, suppliers and customers.
- To identify and resolve errors and discrepancies.
- To plan, organize and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the department’s monthly and financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner.
- To create, develop and maintain accounting spreadsheets used in the Finance function.
- To input and maintain departmental MI/SAP systems.
- Reporting on Divisions key performance indicators; sales, margin etc together with any adhoc analysis needed.
- Assist the Head of Finance with Finance Transformation and Process Improvement projects
