Our client a leading manufacturer of Home Improvements are requiring a Purchasing Manager with previous experience gained in the Manufacturing sector, to bring some seriously strong organisational skills with the determination and drive to achieve results.
Your positive energy and commitment will inspire your team to achieve and exceed demanding KPI's enabling you to deliver long term results.
You will be part of the Operational teamand you will be analytical with excellent problem solving skills.
**_Duties:_**:

- Service Delivery
- Operations
- People Management
- Quality Management
- **Responsibilities**:_- Controlling Purchasing Department budgets
- Forecasting
- levels of demand for services and products
- Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, reliability, quality, and delivery schedules
- Liaise with and identify potential suppliers and manufacturers
- Visit existing suppliers and build/maintain good working relationships
- Producing reports and statistics
- To evaluate bids
- Attends meetings and trade conferences
- Develop the Purchasing Departments vision, values and objectives
- Provide coaching to the team
- Monitoring team performance

Skills knowledge and experience required**:

- Previous experience of working in the manufacturing sector
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent negotiating skills
- with the ability to negotiate best value for money and network with key stakeholders
- Experience of analytical work and working to deadlines
- The ability to identify, manage and implement change
- Strong understanding of purchasing with the ability to ensure that the purchasing team have the levels of stock in place to support production
- Excellent IT skills with strong working knowledge of Window Designer
- Excellent Team Management skills

- Highly motivated with a can do approach to working
- Able to work to timescales
- Excellent Team management skills, in order to coach, mentor and motivate your team
