The Operations team maintain, repair and upgrade 7,666km of high-pressure pipe, 23 compressor stations, 504 above-ground installations, and 8 connected distribution networks through a highly skilled team of over 600 technicians and engineers across Great Britain. Working around the clock to maintain and enhance the infrastructure that powers homes, business and industries, guaranteeing a steady and secure energy supply.

**About the role**:
Are you acting as a workplace assessor as part of your current role, or looking to take the next step to becoming one?
As a Competence Assessor, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining workforce competence by assessing employee’s skill, knowledge, experience, attitude and behaviour in a range of technical and safety critical tasks to ensure the required standards are met.
Working as part of the Operational Support Team you will use your skills, knowledge and experience to provide a credible assessment function, helping to ensure that our competency system is trusted and fit for purpose.
**What we are looking for**:
You will have experience in delivering comprehensive competence assessments, maintaining accurate records, ensuring evidence validity, and supporting standardisation and continuous improvement in line with company standards.
The remit of these roles is based Nationwide Locations, all requiring regular site visits with occasional overnight stays. Therefore, a Full UK Driving Licence is required for this job.
