**Community Volunteering Manager / Volunteer Training Coordinator** with experience of volunteer management, supervision and development, and relevant experience of working within the children/vulnerable adults’ sector, is required to join a well-established Charity.

**SALARY**:£28,988 - £35,199 per annum + Excellent Benefits

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Community Volunteering Manager / Volunteer Training Coordinatorwith experience of volunteer management, supervision and development, and relevant experience of working within the children/vulnerable adults’ sector.

Working as the Community Volunteering Manager / Volunteer Training Coordinator you will provide an exceptional volunteer experience and will be responsible for the recruitment, training, stewardship and support of all volunteers within the service acrossthe geographic area.

As the Community Volunteering Manager / Volunteer Training Coordinator you will grow a Lead Volunteer network and will act as the champion for Volunteering.

**DUTIES**

As the Community Volunteering Manager / Volunteer Training Coordinator your duties will include:

- Understand and communicate short and medium-term volunteer requirements
- Support local volunteering staff (and Community Hubs, where applicable) to promote volunteering opportunities, including upskilling to become Lead Volunteers
- Coordinate with Volunteering Office to ensure recruitment processes, including references and criminal disclosure checks, are completed in a timely manner
- Plan and own the training delivery programme
- Observe delivery of training programmes and provide support and feedback to ensure provision of high-quality training
- Lead delivery of safeguarding training for the service
- Manage and supervise Lead Volunteers including providing supervision and monitoring quality
- Deliver Friends & Family training in accordance with regional and national plans, supporting a rota of primarily virtual training delivery
- Support the development of new volunteering opportunities
- Monitor and evaluate the volunteer experience via feedback and key metrics
- Ensure all databases are updated in real time and that volunteers are up to date with mandatory training, including refreshers

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**Essential**
- Educated to post-secondary level with a minimum of 3 GCSE passes including Maths & English at grade C (or equivalent)
- Proven experience of volunteer management, supervision, and development
- Experience of delivering training to groups and individuals in different formats
- Relevant and recent skills and experience working in a safeguarding setting or having responsibility for the safeguarding of others
- Recent and relevant experience of working within the children /vulnerable adults’ sector
- Demonstrates an understanding of volunteer motivations and what volunteers may want the experience to provide for them
- Demonstrates a knowledge of additional needs
- Relevant and recent knowledge of safeguarding practices including safer recruitment
- Knowledge of methods used to engage and support volunteers
- Understands the importance of accessibility and usability in a training context
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong training and presentation skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Competent in MS Office packages and databases
- Eligibility to work in the UK
