**Who you are**

Our ideal applicant will have a passion for all things audio. You may already work in the industry, or your may have transferable skills from another sector and audio is your love outside of the working environment. You will have a keen interest for new product and technologies releases that further enhance the audio world. Having the drive and self-motivation to work autonomously is key, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a talented resource team. You will have a love for sound creation, creating your own samples, recording audio, and synthesising sounds and FX.

**What you will do**

Reporting to the Senior Product Specialist and Product Manager, you will join a high paced product R+D team with responsibility for all products within Gear4music’s Own Brand Live Sound, Studio, DJ and Home Audio categories.

This role is all about keeping our product ranges exciting, up to date and in line with market trends. You will help to identify and source exciting new products, ensuring correct commercial decision making to successfully bring them to market. You will also work with the team to improve and develop existing SKUs, ensuring they remain market competitive.

In Short:

- Identify trends and gaps in the market to ensure Gear4music are offering an excellent and competitive range of products
- Help to research and design new products for Gear4music’s own brand category
- Maintain and develop existing product lines, with a strong focus on audio/FX creation, recording and editing
- Ensure the build of the products is compliant with industry and Gear4music standards
- Regularly review ranges to ensure products are up to date and in line with market trends
- Commercial planning to ensure products are competitive within the marketplace
- You may be required to attend international trade shows & visits to manufacturer sites

**What your skill set may look like**
- Great all-round knowledge of pro audio products, including an understanding of their markets
- A passion for their products with a strong understanding of the nuances that can make products distinctive
- Exceptional knowledge on audio/FX creation, recording and editing
- An inquisitive entrepreneurial mind-set with the capability to think of new innovative commercial ideas
- Clear and efficient communication as you will frequently be liaising with overseas factories
- Organised, excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- A willingness to learn and continue to innovate
- Experience working in a product related or buyer role ideal but not essential
- A proactive approach who can deliver against multiple deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- International experience would be beneficial
