**Job Specification**:**The Job You’ll Do;**
- Assisting in the development, implementation and reviewing of the company’s Health and Safety Framework policies and Arrangements.
- Developing & undertaking internal Health, Safety and Environmental Inspections / audits.
- Supporting Departmental Managers/Supervisors in ensuring that written Risk Assessments and action plans are undertaken, recorded and monitored.
- Carrying out and reviewing specific Risk Assessments being actively involved in the management and reduction of risk within the business.
- Attending Safety Representative and Safety Committee Meetings, working closely with the Health & Safety Representatives to ensure that they are supported and understand the Business Health & Safety Agenda policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and training for these key people where appropriate.
- Producing weekly and monthly accident data and assisting the Health and Safety Manager to produce relevant monthly reports.
- Delivering relevant Health & Safety training
- Work closely with Occupational Health to ensure that appropriate health surveillance and screening is conducted and to ensure that Occupational Health is kept informed of developments within the site.
- Carrying out workplace inspections ensuring safety reps and departmental managers have completed their monthly inspections/audits
- Partnership with the H.R. and Training team on Health and Safety Issues as appropriate.
- In conjunction with the H&S Manager, participate in the production and delivery of annual awareness programmes based on risk identification and reduction.
- Assisting the Health and Safety Manager in collating information for Ethical and other audits

**About You;**
- Previous health and safety experience preferably gained in manufacturing
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification e.g. NVQ Level 4 (or working towards)
- Hold or working towards an Audit Qualification
- Experienced and knowledgeable in regard all aspects of Health & Safety legislation
- A relevant train the trainer qualification
- First aider Qualification
- Competent solving problem focused approach to Health and Safety.
- Competent team player and standalone worker, demonstrating a positive attitude
- Competent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent administration and organisational skills, competent in prioritising workload and multitask coupled with an attention to detail.
- Competent and IT literate
- Ability to deal with people at all levels internally and externally
- Competent relationship manager fostering and building positive working relationships internally and external
