**Job title: Event Coordinator**
**Location: Leeds**
**Terms: Full-time, Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm**
**Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 dependant on experience**
**The Role**
We are currently seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to join our vibrant team based in Leeds city centre. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and a drive to create exceptional experiences, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
**Core Role and Responsibilities**:
- Event Planning and Hosting: Conceptualise, plan, and host a diverse range of events throughout the year, catering specifically to the interests and needs of international students. These events will be aimed at creating a vibrant and inclusive community for our target audience and residents.
- Collaboration with Marketing Team: Work closely with the marketing team to align event strategies with broader marketing campaigns. Collaborate on promotional materials and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
- Caterer and Venue Management: Source, negotiate with, and manage external caterers, suppliers, and event venues to ensure seamless execution of events while adhering to budget constraints.
- Budgeting and Reporting: Develop and maintain event budgets and P&Ls, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient allocation of resources. Provide regular reports on event performance and feedback to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
- Logistics and On-Site Coordination: Oversee event logistics, including setup, registration, and on-site coordination to guarantee smooth-running events that leave a positive and lasting impression on attendees.
- Audience Engagement: Implement creative strategies to engage the target audience before, during, and after events, fostering a strong sense of community and brand loyalty.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with events and proactively develop contingency plans to address any challenges that may arise.
- Support for on-site Teams and Services: Provide support where needed to building concierge teams to help with keeping key services running smoothly.
**Requirements**:
- At least one years of experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in a marketing or similar industry.
- Flexible working arrangements based on the events plan and building needs.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple events simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
- Creativity and innovation to develop unique event concepts that align with the brand and audience.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with other members of the marketing team.
**Desirable**:
- Proficiency in using event management software and other relevant tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of the student market and familiarity with the preferences of international students is advantageous.
