This is a varied role, the main tasks in this permanent position are using a counter balance forklift to load/unload Lorries.

You would also learn other roles within the operation to cover breaks and holidays.

During the busy months from April - August, you would be performing your primary role, working longer hours, especially in the summer months. Across the winter months, you would perform general maintenance duties such as gardening, repairing pallet, washing the glass.

We are a family run nursery and are looking for someone with good forklift experience. We need someone who can work extra hours in the summer months, is happy to undertake the more physical manual work in the winter months.

**As a Forklift, Horticulture Nursery Operative your duties would include**:

- Loading/ Unloading Lorries
- Transporting trays from the cold store to the greenhouse.
- Strapping pallets of trays using a manual strapper.

The rates of pay are **£11.66 Per Hour for a 39 Hour Week.**

Overtime rate is **£16.00.**

This is an early start position starting at 5am in the summer months, with a 7am start in the winter months.

Monday - Friday (with the occasional Saturday)

Initially you would be supplied with a High Vis jacket and gloves but you would need your own safety boots as they are only supplied after a probationary period.
