We have an exciting opportunity for a **Driver/ Stores/ Yard Person** to carry out deliveries and collection of materials to and from our properties, sites and our suppliers. Collect waste from site and dispose of in accordance with the Freebridge recycling policy. To undertake works in connection with the issuing of store’s material and the maintenance of stock, to include purchase orders and receiving goods

Freebridge Community Housing is the largest provider of housing in West Norfolk, set up in 2006 to receive the transfer of homes from the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. Today, we own and manage around 7,000 homes across West Norfolk, making a difference to thousands of customers within communities across an area of almost 550 square miles. We have an annual turnover of £30m and employ well over 200 people, including our own Property Services team. Over the last 14 years, there have been numerous achievements, not least delivering our tenants’ promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living.

**Requirements**:

- To make deliveries and collections from various locations within the Freebridge geographical area and further afield where necessary to external customers and suppliers
- To take delivery of goods delivered into Freebridge stores, with the use of forklifts where required. Ensure that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely way and check for damages and quantity
- To get materials out ready for collection by our trade operatives and for the issuing to jobs, using the equipment provided
- Ensure that stock is booked correctly and accurately to the jobs as necessary. Assist with stock checks when required
- To manage the skips on site, ensuring that materials are correctly disposed of in the appropriate skips to maximise recycling possibilities

**Knowledge and Experience**
- Experience of working in a similar role, involving driving, yard and stores responsibilities is desirable
- A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations and Road Traffic Regulations
- Basic understanding to notice faults and damage to vehicle
- A full driving licence is essential
- A Forklift licence is desirable
