**Role Responsibility**:
**Press Office Assistant (MEDIA & INFLUENCER)**

As part of the team responsible for Selfridges PR, you will make sure that our products are always well represented in the right publications and digital platforms.

Based in the London office, as a PR Assistant, you’ll help to ensure our Press Office runs smoothly. This is a largely administrative yet dynamic role that involves everything from answering general press queries and managing sample send-outs to drafting product press releases and placing coverage. You’ll facilitate sample requests and liaise with journalists and influencers daily - all with the overall aim of gaining maximum coverage in press and on social, sharing our unique Selfridges stories. Alongside this, you will be on hand to support and contribute at press events, and you’ll be able to build strong relationships with teams across the business.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a close-knit team who are incredibly passionate about driving positive PR results for Selfridges, demonstrating our vision and purpose externally.

You will have some experience in PR (either employed or as a work placement) and enjoy working in a busy and often hectic environment. You’ll be extremely organised with great time management skills and you’ll have a fantastic way with people. Above all however you’ll have a keen interest in food and the London restaurants scene, a genuine passion for sustainability and a good grasp of social media and how the world of influencers works. Alongside this, you will:

- Support press team with product sample call ins and images requests for Food
- Create product led newsletters and drive product placement coverage for Food
- Arrange store visits for press and influencers including bookings and hosting across experiences including Restaurants and Cinema
- Work alongside team to place coverage across press and social for Reselfridges and Project Earth product
- Monitor Selfridges Food & Restaurants and Sustainability press coverage
- Manage press database and monitor opportunities across press and social for Food & Restaurants and Sustainability
- Support team on influencer activity across categories, identifying relevant talent, actively seeking opportunities and staying ahead of industry trends
- Provide support to the press team on events including seasonal press days, brand activations and launches
- Support the wider PR team with reporting, invoicing, press site and admin tasks
