Our Day Service has several different areas where our customers can enjoy different activities. We have a large hall where most of our activities take place, various rooms for activities upstairs, a fully equipped kitchen, a coffee bar, almost two acres of land, and a fully equipped workshop. We often go on trips and holidays with our service users (some of which may be in the evening and weekends) and hold workshops ran by specialists.

Our daily activities include:
Arts and Crafts

Gardening

Woodwork

Cooking

Animal welfare (Alpacas and Chickens)

Dance

Drama

Music

& Much more

**Job description**

We’re looking to recruit a caring and proactive support worker with a can-do attitude. Your contracted hours will generally be 08:00-16:30 (with flexibility) the pay rate is £11.50 per hour.

**Your Job Role**:

- Support Customers
- Listen to our Customers strengths, wants and needs, ensuring they are being met and recording any changes to their needs
- To provide a holistic experience to all of our customers
- Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of our customers
- Working with the staff to safeguard our customers at all times
- Assist with personal care and assistance with eating and drinking
- Creating positive relationships with our customers, maintaining privacy, dignity and respect at all times
- The ability to stay calm and respond appropriately in difficult and challenging situations
- Ability to use own initiative within the policies and procedures of the organisation
- To complete training provided and attend staff meetings as required

- Care Certificate is desirable but not essential
- Works well as part of a team
- Confident to ask for support when needed
- Enthusiastic
