This may involve providing support with physical disabilities, social emotional needs and learning needs, and will involve working in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. Teaching Assistants work across all primary key stages from Pre-school through to Year 6, including the Communication and Interaction Inclusion Centre. This is a term time only position working Monday to Friday, 08:30 -15:30 with a 30 minute unpaid break. **JOB PURPOSE**: - To work alongside colleagues and class teachers to provide support to children - Provide practical advice and support to the children, particularly in respect of planning and resources and where necessary provide emotional support and encouragement to enable the child to achieve the targets set - To provide support for pupils, the teacher, and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all - To encourage pupils to become independent learners, to provide support for their welfare, and to support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life - A minimum qualification of GCSE grade C in English and Mathematics - A genuine interest in children and the ability to motivate and inspire as well as adjust differentiated tasks to meet the needs of the individual and excellent behaviour management skills. - The enthusiasm and creativity to ensure that the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being are achieved. - Effective communication skills with the class teacher, with parents and staff across the school. - The ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible outlook, and the willingness to "go the extra mile" in any respect to achieve the very best outcomes for the children in our care. - Interest in areas such as Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Speech and Language Disorders and other known disabilities, vulnerable children and children with delayed learning needs. **We can offer**: - a caring working environment; - Supportive and friendly team of staff - a school committed to raising achievement; - opportunity for professional development, within our school and our Trust.
