Transport and Hire Controller

We are currently looking for a Transport and Hire Controller to work in our Glasgow Depot. Reporting to the Depot Manager the Hire and Transport Controller takes calls from potential and existing customers answering product questions and providing information about other products and services, arranging delivery and collection of equipment, dealing with engineers and drivers to ensure customer satisfaction is exceeded at all times.

Ideally, you will possess:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A professional telephone manner
- Proven customer service skills
- Working knowledge of transport
- The ability and confidence to deputise for the Depot Manager in their absence
- Previous experience of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work effectively under pressure with limited supervision
- A high level of IT literacy including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Previous experience in plant hire is desirable

You will be able to demonstrate the following behaviours:

- The ability to set and monitor thorough and detailed plans to meet agreed deadlines effectively
- Resilient in dealing with changes in priorities, juggling a number of activities and continues to be effective
