The Finance Manager is responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely information to enable management to enhance Company profitability and performance across both Portmeirion Group UK Ltd and Wax Lyrical Ltd.
The role of Finance Manager UK is to support the management of two finance teams; Portmeirion Group UK Ltd in Stoke-on-Trent and Wax Lyrical in the Lake District. There will be regular travel required to visit the Wax Lyrical site. This role ensures responsibilityfor overseeing and the production of accurate financial reports and information, cash and profit forecasting, managing the audit process and budgeting.
**Finance Manager Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for accurate, timely and relevant management information to include weekly KPI reports, monthly management accounts, weekly and monthly sales analyses.
- Conduct reviews with budget holders and evaluate spend against sales performance and cost saving opportunities.
- Manage two UK finance teams.
- Manage the UK audit process and liaise directly with auditors.
- Control the fixed asset system, ensure capital projects are monitored and reviewed post completion.
- Management of the UK cash forecast submissions.
- Management of monitoring inventory and reporting.
- Management of the budgeting process.
- Oversee the company royalty obligations.
- Responsible for correctly processing and reporting VAT across various tax authorities.
- Ensure understanding of export and import compliance requirements.
- Responsible for the continual improvement of procedures and controls.
- Ad-hoc queries and projects as requested by the Financial Controller UK and other departments.

**Finance Manager Requirements**:
We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude, who can bring new ideas, be proactive and help drive the business forward in a hands-on way, also with the ability to assist on projects and requirements outside of finance.
- Management experience is essential
- Willing to travel (this role will involve travelling to Wax Lyrical on a regular basis)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- CIMA/ACCA Qualified or equivalent is essential
- Confident, Methodical and Accurate
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel to an Advanced Level
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to work on own initiative
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
